Matthijs Deroo represents the Hg Funds shareholding within team.blue, and as principal at Hg's Genesis team, Matthijs focuses on investments in SME technology-enabled services and ecommerce technology.

He has been involved with Hg's initial investment in Combell group as well as the subsequent mergers with TransIP and Register Group to form team.blue. Other Hg investments for Matthijs are Citation, Septeo and HHAExchange.

Before joining Hg in 2018, he worked as a strategy consultant with Roland Berger, focusing on private equity support and B2B services. Matthijs is Belgian and holds an MSC in commercial engineering and information technology from KULeuven.
