    Combell Group was founded by Jonas Dhaenens in Belgium and quickly became a leading digital enabler for entrepreneurs and small businesses across Northwest Europe with customers in Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland.

  • TransIP Group was founded

    TransIP Group was founded in the Netherlands, using automation and self-sufficient technology to make life simpler for its customers.

  • team.blue was formed

    With such close alignment in their goals, it became clear that the three companies would be stronger together. team.blue was formed through the merger of Combell Group, Register Group, and TransIP Group to provide comprehensive digital support to SMEs across Europe. It brought together brands from Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Denmark, France, Portugal, the UK, Spain and Switzerland. Jonas Dhaenens, founder of Combell Group, was appointed CEO of the newly formed team.blue.

  • team.blue expanded its footprint

    In 2020, team.blue expanded its reach across Europe to build out its web hosting services for SMBs across Turkey, Bulgaria and the Central and Eastern Europe region through strategic investments in established, market-leading companies. This expansion included welcoming brands such as Superhosting, Webnode and Natro to the group.

  • team.blue expands into e-commerce

    team.blue continued to make targeted investments across the digital space in 2025, strengthening its software portfolio for SMBs and expanding further into e-commerce to support customers’ online growth. As part of this strategy, the group broadened its European footprint, including expansion into Greece, and welcomed a number of new brands to the ecosystem, such as Hipex, Turhost, PTISP, Keliweb and Enartia (papaki.com / top.host)

  • Claudio Corbetta appointed CEO

    Deputy CEO Claudio Corbetta was appointed CEO of team.blue, bringing over 25 years’ leadership experience, including as CEO of Register Group, one of the group’s founding companies. Founder Jonas Dhaenens moved into the role of President, while Dawn Marriott from Hg Capital was appointed Executive Chair. Under Claudio Corbetta’s leadership, team.blue continues to strengthen its software offering for SMBs, investing across areas from compliance to lead generation, while expanding its European footprint. This growth included welcoming new brands such as UK Dedicated, LeadInfo, ConsentManager and iubenda into the group.

  • team.blue progressed its investment

    team.blue progressed its investment in market-leading digital products for SMBs across Europe by welcoming brands such as Simplybook.me, Webempresa, Really Simple SSL, ComplianZ, Billdu and maxcluster. Spanning solutions from booking and invoicing platforms to Point of Sale systems, these additions expanded team.blue’s product offering and extended its reach to countries including Cyprus and Slovakia. The Group also launched its first Impact Report, reflecting its ongoing ESG efforts, ambitious sustainability goals and strong commitment to fostering a supportive and responsible workplace.

  • New investments fuel next stage of growth

    team.blue welcomes new investors Sofina and CPP Investments. The investment supports team.blue’s growth strategy and vision to deliver increasingly valuable online tools for businesses, with further AI-led product innovation, and values the group at €4.8bn, making it one of the largest privately owned technology companies in Europe, serving 3.3 million SMBs and entrepreneurs across 22 European countries with an unbroken 20+ year growth track record. This growth is driven in part by welcoming helloCash, Loopia, Metricool, Kolsquare, and Accessiway to the team.blue family, bringing the total workforce to over 3,000 employees and supporting the launch of its first in-house leadership program.

  • Workforce grows to 4000 employees

    In 2025, team.blue marked a strong year of growth, completing 11 SaaS-focused acquisitions and welcoming brands such as Cookiefirst, AssoConnect, Shoptet, Ticimax and b2brouter to the group. The year concluded with the acquisition of Macaly, reinforcing team.blue’s commitment to delivering practical AI-driven experiences for customers. By year end, the group’s workforce had grown to 4,000 employees.
