Metricool turns comments into customers with Flows

Date:

More sales are starting in a social media comment now, not an ad. Metricool just built the tool to catch every one of them, without leaving the platform businesses already use to plan and publish. Discover Flows →

What's new

Metricool launched Flows, a feature that automatically turns comments, DMs, and Story replies into the start of a sale. It's Metricool's answer to conversational commerce, a model already worth several billion dollars a year, where a shopper types a keyword in a comment or DM and gets the link, code, or information they need to take the next step.

Until now, that kind of automation meant buying it separately: a new subscription, and a new platform disconnected from the one already used to plan and publish content. Flows builds the same capability directly into Metricool itself, alongside planning and publishing, with nothing extra to add and no third party involved.

How it works

Setting a keyword on an Instagram or TikTok comment, DM, or Story reply automatically triggers up to three personalised response messages. Each automation comes with its own stats on sends, interactions, and click through rate, so businesses can see exactly what's converting.

Instagram is the first platform where Flows is available, alongside TikTok, since it's where this kind of strategy is most concentrated. X support is coming in the weeks ahead.

Why it matters

Engagement has usually been treated as an awareness metric, something to track but not something that directly drives revenue. Flows treats it as the first touchpoint of a sale instead: the comment, the DM, the Story reply, all becoming an entry point rather than an endpoint.

For businesses already spending time replying to comments and DMs by hand, this turns that same activity into something structured and measurable, without asking them to learn a new tool or add a new bill.

Getting started

Flows is available to every Metricool user, including those on a free plan, free of charge for a limited time. It will later become part of the Starter and Advanced plans as a paid add on. Businesses can access it directly from the Flows tab inside the platform's Planner.
