Meta Ads, straight from Shoptet Campaigns

Date:

Running ads on Meta used to mean setting up an ad account, learning a new interface, or bringing in outside help. Shoptet Campaigns just closed that gap for every store on the platform. Discover Shoptet Campaigns →

What's new

Meta Ads have joined Shoptet Campaigns, alongside the existing Google Ads option. Store owners can now promote products on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads without leaving their e shop admin, and without setting up a separate ad account first.

Behind the scenes, campaigns run on Meta Advantage+, so the system handles the parts that used to take specialist knowledge:

  • Automatically finds the most relevant audience for each product
  • Optimises how the budget is split across campaigns
  • Uses the store's own product data and shoppers' buying behaviour
  • Shows the right products to the people most likely to want them
  • Keeps learning and improving performance over time

Getting started

Launching a campaign takes a few steps, all inside the Shoptet admin, under Marketing → Shoptet Campaigns:

  1. Choose Meta as the promotion channel
  2. Connect the store's Facebook business page
  3. Review which products or categories to promote, and exclude any that shouldn't be included
  4. Write a short line of ad text introducing the store
  5. Set a budget and top up credit (minimum 3,000 CZK)
  6. Launch, and track performance directly in the Shoptet admin

A business Facebook page is required to get started, ideally one that's active and complete: current profile and cover photos, contact details, a link to the store, and a few posts already up.

Why it's worth trying

No PPC specialist required. The setup happens inside an interface store owners already know.
Products load automatically. No need to recreate listings inside a separate ad system.
Awareness and remarketing work together. Advantage+ reaches new shoppers and reminds past visitors, at the same time.
Nothing locked in. Budgets can change at any time, and campaigns can be paused or switched off whenever needed.

Google Ads or Meta Ads?

The two channels aren't competing for the same job, they're solving two different problems. Google Ads, especially Search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns, are built for capturing intent that already exists: a shopper searches for something specific, and the store shows up at the exact moment they're ready to buy. The catch is scale. At any given time, only a small slice of potential customers are actively in buying mode.

That's the gap Meta Ads fill. Instead of waiting to be searched for, a store can choose who sees its products, using the huge amount of behavioural data Meta already has on its users. It's a different kind of investment: not an instant sale, but building the kind of recognition that pays off later, when a shopper who's seen a brand before finally is ready to buy. Store owners should expect a different rhythm of results too. Meta Ads rarely deliver the same immediate return on ad spend as Google Search campaigns, and that's by design.

Relying only on capturing existing demand carries its own risk over time. Stores that pour their entire budget into search intent, without ever building awareness beyond it, often see their unpaid orders quietly decline, since customers who've never encountered the brand outside an ad have no reason to search for it directly. Running Meta Ads alongside Google Ads helps close that gap.

Both can run at the same time, managed from the same place in Shoptet Campaigns.
