Head of M&A

Maarten is Head of M&A at team.blue, where he is responsible for driving the group's inorganic growth strategy. He sets the strategic priorities for acquisitions and brings innovation into the business through an active buy-and-build approach. His focus is on identifying high-performing businesses that add new capabilities to the group and have the potential to become category leaders.

He joined team.blue in 2019 as M&A Director and became a member of the Senior Leadership Team in 2026. Since joining the company, he has led approximately 50 acquisitions, averaging 5–13 transactions per year.

Before joining team.blue, Maarten spent eight years in corporate finance, working at KPMG in Advisory and at Solvay in Corporate Development.
Maarten holds a degree in Business Engineering from Ghent University, a Master's degree in Financial Management from Vlerick Business School, and has completed the CFA Program.
